    Clearwater's Education Director, Emily Marcet will be giving a talk titled: Portrait of a Graduate: Environmental Education for Changing Guidelines on Wednesday, February 25 from 3:30pm-4:30pm as part of NYSDEC's Hudson River Estuary Management Program and the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Women in Science Winter Webinar Series.

Starting as a volunteer and trainee aboard Hudson River sloop, Clearwater and growing up in the Beacon Sloop Club around vessels like Clearwater and Woody Guthrie, Sarah will reflect on how these Hudson River communities shaped her path—and her progression to captain—over a decade of work in sail training and experiential education.

  • Storm King Decision Earthwork and Garden Opening Reception

    Storm King decision is a multi-phase public art project celebrating stewardship and the birth of the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Resources Defense Council. Inspired by the 1965 Scenic Hudson Decision, this project honors the landmark legal case that established the right of citizens to challenge development on environmental grounds, ultimately protecting Storm King Mountain, Black Rock Forest, and the Hudson River.
