Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is proud to announce our newest fundraiser, Paddle for Our Hudson! Embark on a summer challenge that gets you out on the water while raising funds for a good cause. From Memorial Day to the end of July, keep track of the distance you paddle and raise money for each mile through donations from your peers.
Can you paddle 55 miles for Clearwater’s 55th sailing season? Whether on a canoe, kayak, a rowboat, or stand up paddle board, all are welcome to Paddle for Our Hudson! This paddle can be completed from anywhere, miles do not need to be logged in the Hudson River or Hudson River Watershed – paddle for our Hudson from near or far!
Paddle for Our Hudson was born from a vision and desire to see people enjoying the Hudson River. It’s been a dream of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater since its inception that the Hudson River return to being a swimmable, recreational, and life-sustaining part of our community. Over the last 55 years, Clearwater has been setting sail, teaching about the river and its ecosystems, and advocating for a cleaner and healthier Hudson. We need your help to keep fighting for this beautiful vision.

All funds raised will support Clearwater’s work to steward an intergenerational community of river advocates through sailing, education, and advocacy programs. Don’t have a boat of your own? We’re partnering with local outfitters across the region to provide discounted kayak rentals.
