Music has always been at the heart of Clearwater’s mission. Founded by Pete and Toshi Seeger, Clearwater has inspired generations of

artists to use their voices to inspire activism and advocacy. Whether you’re a local performer, touring artist, choir, band, or festival organizer, there are many ways to support Clearwater through music.

Perform at a Clearwater Event
Share your music by performing aboard the sloop, at Folk Picnic, the Kingston Earth Fair, or at another Clearwater event. From intimate performances aboard the sloop Clearwater to shoreside music events, musicians are core to Clearwater’s community.

Host a Benefit Concert
Organize a fundraising concert in the Hudson Valley, New York City, or beyond. Benefit concerts support Clearwater’s environmental education, advocacy, and sailing programs while introducing new audiences to our mission. If we can, we would value the opportunity to be present at the show and engage with the audience.

Donate Tour or Merchandise Proceeds
Artists can dedicate a portion of ticket sales, merchandise sales, streaming revenue, or special releases to support Clearwater. Whether it’s a single show, a full tour, or a limited-edition item, these contributions are welcome and appreciated.

Become a Clearwater Musician Ambassador
Help spread the word about Clearwater’s work through your performances, social media channels, newsletters, and web presence.

Create a Special Collaboration
Have another idea? Musicians have supported Clearwater in innumerable ways over the decades, and we would love to explore creative ways to work together. Contact Jen Benson at jen@clearwater.org to discuss performance opportunities, benefit concerts, partnerships, or other creative ideas.
