Beacon Dog Park located in Memorial Park on Rt. 52 in Beacon, NY

The public is invited to join project partners Hudson River Clearwater, Sargent-Downing Gardens and Nursery, and the City of Beacon for a family-friendly community Arbor Day event featuring a tree planting, local music and refreshments. The celebration will open with a  Native American blessing, followed by music by The Rivertown Kids; Solar Sound Band; Craig Chin; Miss Vickie; and others, and Poet Laureate, Larry Sansone.

Beacon Community Arbor Day Celebration Includes:

  • Tree Planting at Beacon Dog Park
  • City of Beacon Mayor Randy Casale
  • Arbor Day Proclamation
  • Native American Tree Blessing honoring Turtle Island
  • Musical performances
  • Richie Cabo, Sargent-Downing Gardens and Nursery, Historic Tree Propagation

  • Solar Trailer and Information

 

Clearwater is participating in this community celebration as part of an ongoing Urban and Community Forestry grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
