Kyle Rabin

Kyle has over two decades of experience in the environmental and sustainability arena – serving in a variety of leadership roles and working on an array of energy, water and agriculture-related initiatives and issues. His professional experience includes strategic planning, program development and management, government relations, community outreach, budget oversight, fundraising, grant writing and staffing.

Kyle currently works for the Long Island Regional Planning Council (LIRPC) as a program manager for the Long Island Nitrogen Action Plan, a multiyear, multi-million dollar initiative to reduce nitrogen pollution in Long Island’s groundwater and surface waters. In this role, Kyle provides planning and technical assistance on a wide range of projects.

Prior to LIRPC, Kyle served as Director of Programs at the GRACE Communications Foundation, Executive Director of Friends of the Bay and Senior Policy Analyst and Campaign Director at Riverkeeper, Inc. Kyle began his professional career in the environmental field working on air quality and energy issues for Environmental Advocates of New York.

Kyle earned a Master of Science in Environmental Science at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies at Binghamton University.

Kyle and his wife and their two daughters live in Nassau County. Their home is powered by a rooftop photovoltaic system that meets over 90 percent of their annual electric demand.
