By November 13th, we’ll know the outcome of the international climate talks in Scotland, and we’ll (most likely!) know the results of the budget negotiations at the federal level. Needless to say, it’s unlikely that our global and national leaders will have done all that science and justice demand regarding the climate crisis. It will continue to be necessary – or perhaps increasingly necessary – for us to apply as much pressure as we can to ensure action at the state and local levels. New York, as a large state that is central to the US economy, must lead the way!
On November 13, we’re taking action with our NY Renews coalition partners and other allies to demand climate justice in NYS! (Demands here). To make the action a huge success, we need you and your organization with us! Here are some things you can do:
Join us! We’ll march from Times Square to Gov. Hochul’s NYC office, beginning at 12pm. More details and RSVP link here.
Spread the word! Here is a toolkit with sample text and graphics in English and Spanish.
Finally, we could really use your support with marshalling the action!! If you can volunteer, please SIGN UP HERE TO BE A MARSHAL. If you know someone who might be interested, please forward the sign-up form to them!
