ClMannaJoGreeneearwater‘s environmental director, Manna Jo Greene,  is quoted in The New York Times report on the state DEC hearing held July 22 concerning  planned shutdowns of Indian Point nuclear reactors as a way to diminish killing of fish and larvae. Clearwater supports use of the best technology available to stop the killing of 1.2 billion fish annually until cooling towers are built.  The fish die when they hit the intake screens or are sucked through the plant’s water intake system.
