Clearwater is once again able to board passengers at the 79th Street Boat Basin, though the entrance to the marina remains under construction. To reach the sloop, start at the southeast corner of the intersection of Riverside Drive and West 79th Street. Walk down the path into the park, walk through the tunnel, and follow the path under Henry Hudson Parkway. Continue walking toward the waterfront; the remainder of the walk will zigzag through construction scaffolding. The entire walk is between 5-10 minutes from the intersection of W 79th and Riverside Drive.

Directions

Public Transportation: Broadway or Riverside Drive to 79th Street; or Subway (Broadway)/Red Line (#1,2,3) to 79th Street, then walk 3 blocks to Boat Basin.

Driving: Take the NYS Thruway to Tappan Zee, to Saw Mill River Parkway, to Henry Hudson Parkway, and to West Side Drive. Take West Side Drive to 79th Street. Exit. Park on Riverside Drive. Walk west on 79th St., down steps to the river through the rotunda. Meet at the main Boat Basin gate.

Parking: We highly recommend taking public transportation to this dock. If you must drive, we recommend looking for street parking on 79th Street. There is also paid City Parking at 70 Riverside Drive – view map.
