Join the Beacon Sloop Club for a lecture from Laura Chenven from the Mid-Hudson Anti-Slavery History Project. The people of the Hudson Valley counties played unique and important roles in the history of American slavery and abolitionism. The region was a major center of enslavement in the North. It also played significant roles in the abolitionist movement and Underground Railroad. The Mid-Hudson Antislavery History Project (MHAHP) works to call attention to this neglected aspect of our past.

Clearwater's Education Director, Emily Marcet will be giving a talk titled: Portrait of a Graduate: Environmental Education for Changing Guidelines on Wednesday, February 25 from 3:30pm-4:30pm as part of NYSDEC's Hudson River Estuary Management Program and the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve’s Women in Science Winter Webinar Series.
