Join the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus on Saturday, April 19 for their April Coffeehouse, monthly gatherings featuring performances by folk musicians. Before the featured performance, audience members are invited to join the chorus in song. April’s featured musical act is Betty and the Baby Boomers.

In this one-time-only benefit concert at the renowned Towne Crier in Beacon, NY (Pete’s hometown), Miles and Trischka will share their music and their stories of personal encounters with Pete Seeger. You can expect some of the best banjo music on planet earth, along with stories about Pete, including some of his testimony before the House Un-American Activities Committee. The story of Pete Seeger demonstrates over and over his passion for social justice and planet earth. And Pete’s tool of choice for delivering his message was the banjo.

In this talk, Karenna will speak to the history of this novel legal strategy, and explore what it could mean for the future of environmental protection.
