Dyckman Marina 348 Dyckman St, New York, NY, United States

Join environmental advocate, author, and founder of the Center of Earth Ethics, Karenna Gore to explore a growing paradigm shift in how we view the natural world. The idea behind the Rights of Nature is simple but powerful: instead of treating nature only as property, we recognize natural entities—like rivers, forests, and mountains—as being alive, havingagency, and bearing rights.. In this talk, Karenna will speak to the history of this novel legal strategy, and explore what it could mean for the future of environmental protection. The talk is a practical introduction to a growing global movement that’s reshaping how we think about law, ethics, and our place in the natural world.
