Pete Seeger, along with leaders like Dr. King and Mahatma Gandhi, showed the world just how powerful we can be when we come together to fight against injustice. Pete encouraged us to find our voices, to stand up for what’s right, and to condemn violence and hate. He lived by his famous motto that “participation [will] save the human race” and we ask all of our members to follow his lead. We must stand up to hate as Pete did throughout his life. It’s up to us to break the patterns of injustice through participation, peace, and unity. Denounce hate, show up, use your voice.
