Join Clearwater’s Invasive Species Program coordinator Samantha Epstein at a special training session Sunday, July 26, 10:00 AM – Noon at Black Rock Park in Croton-on-hydrillawflowerHudson.  Volunteers learn to identify  invasive species and help collect data on their impact on the Hudson River. Learn about plants like the dreaded Hydrilla and others that choke off waterways and harm the ecology: curlyleaf pondweed, brittle naiad, fanwort, water chestnut, and Eurasian watermilfoil; also, two plants that are emerging in the area – didymo and aldrovanda. Key identifying characteristics for the Chinese mystery snail, Asian clam, and the zebra mussel will be explained.  To sign up for  training please click here
