We’re thrilled to introduce our new Sales and Booking Coordinator, Ella Agoos. In this role, Ella will be building Clearwater’s sail calendar, cultivating relationships with passenger groups, schools, nonprofits, municipalities, and community organizations along the Hudson River, and managing our calendar of educational sails, public programs, and private charters.

Ella is no stranger to Clearwater. She first joined the crew in 2022 as an Educator Deckhand, drawn to the opportunity to do hands-on, outdoor work, and quickly discovered a vibrant community rooted in environmental stewardship, music, and mutual support. In 2023, she returned as an Onboard Program Coordinator, helping to connect even more people with the river. Since then, she has continued to deepen her passion for environmental education, working as an Estuary Research Reserve Educator at Norrie Point Environmental Center and as a Winter Field Instructor in Yellowstone National Park, Montana.

Growing up in the Hudson Valley, Ella often heard negative stories about the river. But her time on Clearwater revealed a different reality: the Hudson is not only far cleaner than many assume, but also an ecologically rich and fascinating place. “I’ve been working on the river on and off for three years now, and I’m always learning something new about it,” she reflects. “Bringing people to the river to experience it for themselves and see what a special place it is has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work with Clearwater.”

Ella is excited to return to Clearwater in this new capacity, supporting onboard programs while expanding sail partnerships across the Hudson Valley. When she’s not on the sloop, she enjoys hiking and camping in the valley, swimming in the Hudson, catching live music along the waterfront, and keeping an eye out for her favorite Hudson River fish – the American eel.
