Riverlight: Hudson Valley Scenes Art Opening & Talk with Clearwater

Join us for the opening of River Light: Hudson River Images, a solo exhibition by Hudson Valley artist Elisabeth Barnett, whose oil paintings explore the moods, seasons, and subtle power of the Hudson River. A lifelong artist, Barnett grew up in New Paltz and has called Rhinebeck home since 2006. She paints primarily en plein air, blending realism and abstraction to reflect her deep connection to the natural world.
At 5:30 PM, Steve Stanne, naturalist, educator, and board member of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, will give a talk on the history of the river and of Clearwater, highlighting current and legacy threats to the river, and ways individuals and communities can act to protect the Hudson.
