Count in honor of World Fish Migration Day & World Ocean Day!
World Fish Migration Day (WFMD) is a global celebration to create awareness about the importance of migratory fish and free-flowing rivers. On World Fish Migration Day, organizations from around the world coordinate their own event around the common theme of: CONNECTING FISH, RIVERS AND PEOPLE.
Environmental organizations of the Lower Hudson and Harbor have come together to put on our own family-friendly, free fishing events for the public to engage in the wonders of the Hudson River!
Events span Staten Island up to Cold Spring, and are family friendly. Event time varies by location. View the map and find the event closest to you, or join Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and the Riverside Park Conservancy at 172nd and the Hudson River (Fort Washington Park Beach at 172nd Street) for seining from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.
