Hudson Falls and its sister facility one mile down the Hudson at Fort Edward, NY, built thousands upon thousands of capacitors. PCB dielectric fluid earned a solid reputation for safety and reliability. Soon, building codes required the use of PCBs in transformers and capacitors. Toxicity was not an issue until mounting evidence and public outcry forced government to act. | |
