By subway take the 2,3,4,5,J,A,C to Fulton Street/Broadway-Nassau Station on the Subway Walk down/East on Fulton Street until it ends, you will see the Seaport in front of you. The Peking is the large black ship on your right hand side.

There may be some refreshments on the ship, but after the service all are welcome to join us at Fresh Salt Bar/Cafe, 146 Beekman Street between Front and South (one block or so from the Seaport).

We last saw Don at this year’s Great Hudson River Revival on June 16th and 17th, where he and Indy spent the weekend ferrying passengers out for sails on Clearwater. He had spent the weeks prior scrambling to get Indy ready to pass the Coast Guard inspection, and we all held our breath to see if she would pass. Once again, Don didn’t let us down.

Don will be missed by the staff and crew of Clearwater, and by the many members of the Clearwater community who worked alongside him on Clearwater and the Woody Guthrie. Our deepest condolences are with Don’s family and with all of those who knew and loved him.

The next issue of our newsletter, The Navigator, will feature a tribute to Don. Please email your remembrances and anecdotes to office@clearwater.org
