Bill McKibben points out in his recent New York Times op-ed that rejecting the Paris agreement amounts to rejecting two core elements of modern civilization: science and diplomacy.  Climate change will disrupt our water supplies, damage our infrastructure, cause disproportionate harm to vulnerable communities and devastate our ecology.  To have any chance of avoiding climate change’s worst impacts, it will require the best of our science and a strong commitment to cooperate with the rest of the world.  Please support our trip to DC so we can remind Washington that environmental protection is a core American value and that science and diplomacy are essential tools to addressing serious global problems like climate change.
