Big News for our April Open Boat & Family Day!!

Thanks to the herculean effort of the shipwrights and crew, our last open boat will double as a very special event…

SHUTTER DAY!!

Shutter day is the day that the VERY LAST PLANK (the “Shutter Plank” – because it “shuts” the hole in the hull) goes in and gets fastened to the new hull. It is a tradition for the shipwrights to share this momentous event with the community and signals the near completion of an enormous project.

We welcome everyone to celebrate “Shutter Day” with us.

We’re on for April 3, 2010, and this will be an extended event so you can ALL make it.

Noon to 6PM

at Lynch’s Marina,

2 Ferry St. Saugerties NY 12477

You’ll find live music and free tours of the newly restored hull of the historic sloop, along with great food and company.

Our friends from Lawson – the traditional Irish band – will be joined by other local musicians throughout the day,

and feel free to bring your own instrument to join in an afternoon jam session!

Click here to RSVP – so we know how many to plan for – and don’t hesitate to share this event via email and other social networking sites – the more the merrier!

Click here for directions to the Marina, and please email us at capt@clearwater.org if you have any questions.

You can also check out the logs and photo gallery to see what we’ve been up to so far.

I look forward to seeing everyone there!
