Tomorrow's Children
NEW! Tomorrow’s Children

Winner of the 2011 Grammy Award for “Best Musical Album for Children”

Pete Seeger’s first studio album since 2008′s Grammy-winning “At 89″ features 19 newly recorded songs.

When Beacon fourth-grade teacher Tery Udell invited Clearwater educator and singer Dan Einbender to teach her students about the Hudson, class sessions became songfests, and where there are songs, there’s Pete. He became a regular visitor to the kids’ classroom in 2007. The classroom gatherings and performances inevitably led to a series of recordings by Pete, Dan, musician and CD co-producer David Bernz, the children (known as “The Rivertown Kids”), as well as adult musicians, high schoolers and even 14 grammar school percussion students. Pete is on every track of the CD, singing, storytelling, playing banjo and 12-string guitar, but he shares the studio spotlight with all of his guests.

Live in '65
NEW! Live in ’65

A previously unreleased, sonically updated 2-CD concert set from February 1965. Performing solo – just vocals and banjo or 12-string guitar – Seeger provides his audience with historical contexts for the songs he sings, teaches lyrics and leads singalongs, and otherwise involves yesteryear’s and today’s listeners in this spellbinding concert, almost two full hours. Live in ’65 documents a “typical” Seeger show at the midpoint of a tumultuous decade in which civil rights, the Cold War, and generational conflicts were aflame.

We Have a Song by the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus
‘We Have a Song’

by the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus

The Walkabout Clearwater Chorus was founded by Pete Seeger to bring the message of the Clearwater where the big boat couldn’t go. They perform once or twice a month at festivals, rallies, and concerts throughout the tri-state area and beyond. Their repertory covers a wide range of folk songs, many written or adapted by their members, with themes of environmental conservation, peace, racial harmony and social justice, not to mention a few old sea chanteys. The Walkabout Clearwater Chorus is generously donating the revenue generated by selling ‘We Have a Song’ through the Clearwater catalog to us.
