“Constellation” Art Sail

Sail onboard the sloop Clearwater for an exclusive look at the art installation Constellation, appearing over the mysterious Bannerman’s castle on Pollepel Island. Artist Melissa McGill will join us on board to discuss the hand-blown glass bulbs that will illuminate the sky, and what they represent. Tickets: Adults, $100; Members, $75; Children 12 and under, $25.

Pete & Toshi Riverfront Park Cleanup

All are welcome to join us in a Clearwater Cleanup at Pete & Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park in Beacon on Saturday, August 8, 9:00AM-1:00PM. Signups are 9:00-10:00, with complimentary breakfast. Lunch fare donated by local businesses at noon. The event is being held in concert with American Rivers’ National River Cleanup Day. The annual Corn Festival featuring fresh and hot sweet corn, cold sweet watermelon, fresh-made chili and more takes place Sunday, August 9, Noon-5:00PM at Pete & Toshi Seeger Park, 1 Red Flynn Drive. Sail Through History with Crailo State Historic Site and Clearwater!
Join historians from the Historic Crailo house, once owned by the Van Rensselaer family, on a sail that will explore the history of the Hudson River and it’s role in the lives of the early Dutch Settlers. After the sail, uncover the history of the historic Crailo house for yourself with a tour of the house and garden. Tickets include the sail and the tour. Tickets $50, members $35, kids $15.
